I almost never wrote the post that made my ghostwriting client $14,452 in 24 hours.
We had already published 3 posts about the new workshop my client was promoting, and they all flopped.
With only 5 days until the workshop, we’d sold just 3 seats.
But all of them were alumni from my client's cohort course, so we had effectively sold none.
I was genuinely worried my client would pull the plug on our partnership.
This was my highest-paying client, so it would’ve been a massive hit to the bank balance.
I called an emergency meeting to prevent this from happening…
During the call, my client told me she had spoken to someone earlier that day, and they didn’t even know a workshop was happening.
I was confused.
How the hell did they not know?
We’d posted about the workshop THREE times already.
So I went back and reviewed the posts.
That’s when it all made sense…
There were 4 major problems.
The visuals had nothing to do with the workshop.
The hooks didn’t indicate the workshop at all.
The content created zero intrigue around it.
And I’d buried the workshop in a P.S. at the bottom.
So I scrapped everything I had queued.
My goal was to write a post that made it impossible to miss that we’re running a workshop.
I wrote the first post.
Got it approved.
Published it.
And 24 hours later…
12 more seats were sold.
By the end of the week, the workshop was sold out.
I went back through the post afterward to understand what made the difference.
It came down to 5 things.
That’s what I’m going to break down in this article.
